There's a huge overlap between a history of early adversity and the presence of difficulties like FASD, autism, ADHD, sensory processing, and learning difficulties. We've included information of the more common things our children are often diagnosed with, and some helpful resources on things like managing sleep and applying for benefits. Is NVR suitable for our more complex children? It's a question we're often asked. We would say, from our own experiences, NVR is most definitely effective with children with all sorts of difficulties and diagnoses, but wisdom is needed around how to deliver, and how much of the appsoch ti use,

Excellent book for parents of children with suspected or diagnosed FASD. Includes signs and symptoms of foetal alcohol spectrum disorders as well as useful strategies that will be useful on a day to day basis.​ Also useful for professionals who want to increase their understanding.

Accessible and informative book written by two FASD experts. They explain how alcohol pre-birth can impact individuals throughout their lives, they provide useful information on spotting the signs of prenatal alcohol exposure, and they talk about how best to suppoer affected children and adults.
